Shane Stanford Tribute In support of MLSE Foundation

Shane was a beloved member of the Health and Fitness team at the Central YMCA. It wasn’t hard to like Shane. His calm demeanour and drive for success was infectious. He always put in more work then was required, and strived to positively impact the community around him. He was a role model for many who walked through the doors, particularly the youth that he interacted with on Teen Night and through coaching the basketball league. Shane always wanted the best for everyone, and pushed them to achieve their goals, all while quietly chasing his own. He embodied the core values that the YMCA upheld, and teamwork was of the utmost importance to him. This was evidenced by his fundraising efforts and championing of the Y’s charitable activities.

To honour Shane, we will be raising funds in support of MLSE Foundation to support youth-sports initiatives in the community. Our goal is to raise $5000 to see Shane's name represented on the MLSE Foundation Tribute Wall.

Help us achieve our goal by making a donation below. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

About MLSE Foundation
MLSE Foundation is an organization built on the belief that sport has the power to change the world. With the support of Toronto Argos, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and Toronto FC, we invest in programs, organizations and communities to empower the next generation to use sport to recognize and reach their potential. Since launching in December 2009, MLSE Foundation has invested more than $35 million into Ontario communities. We fight to provide equitable access to sport and opportunity on the playing field that leads to success and opportunity off the playing field. We know that by changing the game, we can change the future. Visitmlsefoundation.org for more information and follow @MLSEFoundation on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
